Analysis of Carbon Emission Reduction at the Port of Integrated Logistics: The Port of Shanghai Case Study

With the goal of achieving carbon neutrality in shipping industry, issue sustainable port development is becoming more and valued by authorities. The industry requires effective emission reduction analysis frameworks. This paper takes China’s Shanghai Port as research object analyzes it from perspective port-integrated logistics. Combined with data 2008 to 2022, principal component gray correlation model was used screen factors affecting port’s emissions, three calculation models for Port’s sources were proposed. In addition, an expanded stochastic impact based on regression population, affluence, technology (STIRPAT) constructed influencing dioxide emissions combined method ridge further identify important factors. At same time, a neural network established predict 2021 2030 compare them their real value. conclusion shows that there close relationship between container throughput, throughput energy consumption, number berths, total foreign trade import export, net profit attributable parent company. Gray calculations show growth rate will gradually slow down next ten years until peak completed around 2033. study can provide reference other ports.
